Canadian Border Crossing/Custom Information

Canadian Border Crossing:
You must stop for inspection at the Port of Entry of the country you wish to enter. Failure to STOP
for inspection could result in a $5,000 fine and/or a vehicle seizure. Approximate distance between
the U.S. and Canada Port of Entries – approximately 700 feet. The road (NH Rt. #3 and
Canada Rt. #257) is the snowmobile trail between the Port of Entries. Always stay in the right lane
of the highway between the Port of Entries! Speed Limit is 30 mph.

Remember. . .
You are crossing and International Border.
The federal officers of both the United States and Canada are there to help you do this, according
to the laws of their respective countries, and as safely and quickly as possible.

Requirements to enter Canada at the International Border at Pittsburg, NH:
* Photo ID
* Proof of liability insurance
* No criminal record

Canadian Customs Office Hours: 8:00 am to Midnight

Snowmobilers Entering Canada: A valid trail permit is mandatory to ride on the FCMQ
snowmobile trail network. You may go as far as Chartierville, PQ without a trail pass. You can
obtain a trail pass in Chartierville at the small building in the left rear corner of the restaurant
parking lot. For more information, call the Quebec Federation of Snowmobile Clubs at 514-252-3076, Monday through Friday.

Current Requirements to enter the Unites States at the International Border at Pittsburg, NH:

*Photo ID

As of January 31, 2008, these requirements will be changing!! U.S. and Canadian Citizens,
ages 19 and over will need to present a government issued photo ID, such as a driver’s license
and proof of citizenship, such as a birth certificate, naturalization certificate or passport to enter
the United States.

United States Customs Hours: Open 24 Hours.
